Realizing revival by Following the Rules Take A Nap Exodus 20:8-11 The 4th Commandment The Holy Bible, King James Version
God Gives us a Plan for working. God gives us a specific plan for working, this is an indication that we have a responsibility to work. He also gives us a standard for rest. We are taught by this commandment to work for six days, and then to spend the seventh day for rest. The important part of this point is that we are expected to work. God Gives us a Prescription for Weariness. It's not that God needed rest on the seventh day, but instead that he was showing us by example that we need that day of rest. Weariness causes physical, spiritual, emotional, and psychological problems in our life. We cannot continue without rest. God gives us a priority for Worship. By setting aside one day for worship God established the primacy of worship. For us to remain Holy, we must spend time apart from the world worshipping our Lord.
